Care & Use

Before first use wash cast iron with a mild soap. Do not use a scourer. Coat with cooking oil and leave on a low heat for 30 minutes. Wipe off excess oil. After use - Always clean in hot soapy water and ensure item is thoroughly dried. If scouring is needed repeat the oil coating before it is used again. If food develops a metalic taste the sizzle paltter needs reseasoning. Scrub with a scouring brush.

Dry thoroughly. Coat inside of cast iron platter with unsalted fat. Heat in a moderate oven for an hour. Remove excess fat and allow to cool. This item is suitable for dishwasher.
